A good use case of eLearning content for language teaching is to include audio, as it exposes learners to authentic pronunciation, intonation, and natural speech patterns. Learners can mimic the correct pronunciation of the audio they hear.
This simple activity asks students to listen to the words and select the card that shows the correct stress pattern. Here’s how to make it:
First I list words with different syllables and stress locations.
Record the words with a mic. I used Audacity because I can easily cut out the silence at the end of each recording. However, H5P also has an audio recorder content type.
Create each syllable card and some distractors using Google slides.
Here’s the link to the stress syllables slides I made if you’d like to use them.
Next in H5P, select Quiz (Question Set) then image choice with the quiz to put it all together.
